Father Michael McMahon

Father Michael McMahon is the fourth of the five children of James and Alice McMahon, and grew up in West Haven, Connecticut. He graduated from Yale University in 1989, earning honors and distinction in his major of political science. After his ordination to the priesthood in 1996, Father was named director of the Saint Bernard Minor Seminary in Quezon City, Philippines. From 1999-2005, he served as director of academics at Saint Joseph's Academy in Richmond, Michigan. He has been the Headmaster of Notre Dame de La Salette since the school's inception.
Father Michael Lavin

Father Michael Lavin, born in New Zealand, is the second eldest of eleven children. He entered Holy Cross Seminary in Australia after college and was ordained in 2006. Father's first assignment was in the Philippines, engaged in the education and spiritual formation of religious brothers and pre-seminarians. In 2008, Father was transferred to La Salette as an assistant priest and teacher.
Father Frank Riccomini

Father Frank Riccomini is the third of fifteen children and grew up in St. Mary's, Kansas. After graduating from both the Academy and College in St. Mary's, from which he earned an Associate's Degree in the Liberal Arts in 2001, Father entered the seminary and was ordained in 2007. Father's first assignment was as an assistant priest at St. Michael's priory in Toronto, Canada. In 2008, Father was transferred to La Salette where, in addition to teaching, he serves two mission chapels in Indiana.
Brother Marcel
Art
Born Peter Poverello, Brother is the second youngest of six boys and grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa. After attending St. Paul's Parochial School, Brother went on to the Johannesburg Art, Ballet, Drama, and Music School for two years and then finished High School at Highlands North Boys High, graduating with distinction in Art. After two years of mandatory national service in the South African Defense Force and working one year as a graphic artist, Brother entered St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in 1991. Completing one year of priestly formation, he pursued the religious life, taking the name Brother Marcel. Brother remained at the seminary working in art, photography, printing, mailing, and teenage catechism until 2008 when he was transferred to La Salette.
Mr. Matthew Barco

Mr. Matthew Barco was born in Parkerburg, West Virginia, the first of three children. He attended Central Michigan University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 2004. Mr. Barco then taught various subjects at St. Anthony Academy in Manassas, Virginia for three years before joining the La Salette faculty in 2008.
Mr. Aaron Borgerding

Mr. Aaron Borgerding was born in St. Cloud, Minnesota, the first of six children. He graduated from St. Mary's Academy in 1998 after which he enlisted in the U.S. Army. After being medically discharged in 2000, Mr. Borgerding entered St. Thomas Aquinas Seminary in 2001. After leaving the seminary in 2006, he moved back to St. Mary's, volunteering as the Assistant Basketball Coach. Mr. Borgerding joined the La Salette faculty in 2008.
Mr. Peter Bourbeau

Mr. Peter Bourbeau was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, the second of eleven children. He graduated from St. Joseph's Academy in 1998. After attending Anoka Ramsey Community College, he moved on to the University of Minnesota, graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature and Art. Mr. Bourbeau returned to St. Joseph's as a teacher and moved with the school when it became La Salette. He is married to the former Annie Underhill of Grand Rapids, Michigan and they have one child.
Mr. Andrew Clarendon

Mr. Andrew Clarendon was born in Tacoma, Washington and grew up in Aurora, Colorado. He attended the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, graduating in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in English Literature and a minor in Spanish. After serving onboard surface ships in San Diego, California and Norfolk, Virginia, he returned to the Naval Academy in 2002 to teach Literature and Composition. Mr. Clarendon earned his Master of Arts degree in English Literature from the Catholic University of America in 2004. He is married to the former Erika Preston of Lomita, California. They have five children.
Mr. Douglas Dean

Mr. Douglas Dean was born and raised in Armada, Michigan. A home school graduate, he earned a degree in electronic engineering technology. He began his career in the welding industry, and later became certified in reflexology and herbology. From 2003-2005, Mr. Dean taught math and science for the Saint Joseph's Academy in Richmond, Michigan. He is married to the former Lindsey Kaercher of Avoca, Michigan. They have six children.
Mr. Joshua Hayes
History, Literature, Geometry, Government, Wrestling, Rugby Coach
A native of eastern North Carolina, Joshua Hayes studied at the United Stated Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in English. After serving onboard two surface ships in Norfolk, Virginia, he was transferred to a training command in Virginia Beach and began his graduate education at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Virginia. He completed his Master of Arts degree in English Literature in 2004. Since January of 2005, Mr. Hayes has taught rhetoric at Danville Area Community College, Illinois. He is married to the former Miss Heidi Henning of Greenville, Michigan. They have three children.
Mr. Joseph Tardiff

Joseph Tardiff was born in Livermore, California, and grew up in Post Falls, Idaho. He graduated from Gonzaga University with a Bachelor of Arts in classics in 2003, and then studied early Christianity at the University of Notre Dame, where he obtained a Master of Arts degree in 2005.
